Contractor, Platforms for Colaboration — 4/2009-1/2010
Architect PFCs online virtual events/tradeshow platform hosted at http://www.2xhib.com/ using PHP5, Symfony 1.0, Mysql 5.0, and Javascript. Wrote simple XML REST API to allow virtual events to use their authentication system for authenticating event visitors from their own website. Installed and managed linux servers on Amazon EC2, with backups going to Amazon S3.
Contractor, CIO Executive Council 6/2009-7/2009
Contracted through Winter Wyman of Waltham. My primary responsibility was to make basic HTML/javascript changes to the existing website. Fix reported bugs, and add some minor new functionality with PHP5.
Contractor, Blue Cross Blue Shield 12/2008-1/2009
Contracted through Aquent of Boston. Created a dynamic javascript application to allow people to calculate short term disability, long term disability and accidental death and dismemberment insurance. Co-founder/Architect , Givvy — 10/2007 – 9/2009
Givvy was an application designed to allow people to think about how they gave their money to charitable foundations. Givvy was built using Symfony 1.0 on PHP5 with MySql 5.x, and used AJAX components to edit data and manipulate pages without reloading of the entire page. My responsibilities included managing the EC2 linux servers that Givvy was hosted on, co-architecting of the application with the other Givvy co-founder/architect. Contribute to design decisions on customer interaction with the application. Integrate with Network For Good SOAP API to allow for user donations through Givvy. Integrate with MallNetworks SOAP API to allow users to shop for their charity through Givvy. Used Facebook Connect to connect Givvy users to their Facebook accounts
Senior Web Developer/Systems Administrator, Digibug Express, Inc — 2/2005 – 8/2008
Develop and extend Digibugs online photo fulfillment services using HTML, CSS, PHP4 and PHP5. Editing of images through web interface, e-commerce activities, and special proprietary requirements for Digibug’s B2B partner Creative Memories. Co-developed API to allow professional photographers to host images on their website and allow their customers to buy them through Digibug’s services. Managed web servers and data storage for Creative Memories. Upon end of contract migrated Creative Memories photo assets (30TB of images) from Digibug’s data center in Boston, MA to Creative Memories data center in St Paul Minnesota. Upon sale of Digibug migrated Digibug servers and storage to New Jersey.

Created multi-browser compatible javascript applications for image roll-overs, Nieman Marcus product pages, LLBean navigation menus. Created perl based application that created HTML files out of segments to allow for easier creation of HTML pages or redesign without full rebuild of HTML code.

Full Circle – Full Circle is an open source Wordpress plugin. It was a project I started in March of 2009 in response for a need for a Wordpress plugin that would post to blog entries from a Wordpress blog to that blog owners Facebook news feed.
